Rant: laser levels on site went from one guy owning one to everyone having one in about 2 years
When I started framing in Red Deer around 2019, only the lead hand had a rotary laser and we all shared it. Now on my current crew in Airdrie every single guy shows up with their own green beam level, and I swear half of them still use it wrong. What flipped, did the price just crash that hard or is everyone just buying tools for the clout?

That "half of them still use it wrong" part hits home. My buddy bought a green beam last year and was bragging about it on a basement job, then set it up on a wobbly step stool and framed a whole wall off it. Had to tear it out the next day, which cost him way more than the level did.
