Nearly ruined my kitchen floor with the wrong tile spacers
I found out from a tile supplier on Coors Blvd that using those cheap plastic cross spacers on large format tiles can actually cause lippage because they don't grip the edges tight enough. Has anyone else run into this after laying a whole floor?

Have you tried the wedge-style spacers instead, they really lock in at the bottom?

@kai602 you're right about the wedge style locking in better, I switched to those last year after dealing with the old flat spacers slipping around all the time. The way they grab at the bottom makes a huge difference when you're torquing things down, no more second guessing if it's seated right. Once you try them you probably won't go back to the standard ones, that bottom lock really saves headaches.
