Blew $180 on anime figurines from a con booth that turned out to be knockoffs
Went to Anime Expo in LA back in July and dropped $180 on three figures at a booth that looked legit. Got home, opened them up, and the paint was already chipping and one of the stands didn't even fit the peg. Did some digging and found out the same set sells for like $40 on a site that ships from overseas. Honestly should've just checked reviews on my phone before handing over cash. Anyone else get burned at a con booth like this or am I just bad at spotting fakes?
