inThat $3 bag of lentils beat my $8 soup kit
Those prepackaged soup kits are such a trap. Same thing happened to me with a "heirloom bean" mix that cost way too much, tasted like nothing but salt and sadness. My go-to base is just onions, carrots, celery sauteed in olive oil with a bay leaf, then whatever beans or lentils I have plus some smoked paprika and a splash of vinegar at the end. Honestly, the simplest stuff always wins because you control the flavor as you go. That dollar store bag with your own spices will beat any fancy kit in my book, every single time.

You tried reheating them in a dry pan yet? That fixes the soggy thing.

inThat $60 amazon exposure unit was a total bust for me
Wait, did we both buy the same piece of junk? My corners were so weak I could've burned a design into a piece of toast with the center and still had raw emulsion on the edges. I swear that thing was just a glorified nightlight with a timer. Ended up nailing a $10 LED strip to the inside of a cardboard box and honestly, I've gotten cleaner screens from that than anything I ever pulled off that Amazon special.
