I thought the whole 'anime rewatch club' thing was just for superfans
My friend convinced me to join one for 'Serial Experiments Lain' last month, and discussing each episode with a group totally changed how I saw the show. Has anyone else had a show completely click after a group chat?

My first rewatch club was for a show I thought was just okay, and I went in feeling like a total fraud. Hearing everyone else's wild theories made me realize I had missed about half the plot. It's amazing how a group can point out details your own brain just glosses over. Now I'm the one dragging friends into these things.

Totally get that, @jason_stone. I once argued a character was just a background extra and my whole group had to pause to explain the main villain's backstory to me. Felt like a genius.
