I used to skip the opening songs on every anime I watched

I always thought they were just filler, but then my friend made me watch the full opening for 'Attack on Titan' season 4, 'My War'. I actually sat through it and realized the visuals and music set the whole tone for the arc. Now I feel like I was missing a key part of the experience. Does anyone else have an opening they used to skip but now love?

Noticed the same thing happens with movie credits now. I used to walk out the second the film ended, but staying for the credits lets the story settle in your mind. It's that quiet transition back to reality. A good opening or closing sequence frames the whole experience, like a book cover you actually should judge.
