inNeighbor Ted showed me how to level a floor with a 6ft level and shims
Does the 2ft level make you fix stuff that wasn't actually a problem? I spent a whole weekend sanding down a high spot that was perfectly fine on a 6ft level. Bigger level saved me from myself.

inMy buddy warned me about season 2 of The Bear and I didn't listen
You gotta give it time. That season is supposed to feel stressful and messy, that's kind of the whole point. The show is about people dealing with real trauma and bad choices, not just cooking. By the time you hit the episode with the flashback dinner, everything clicks into place for me. It builds to something bigger than just yelling, it shows why these characters are the way they are. Maybe rewatch it with that in mind, it hits different.

inJust realized curb cuts actually made a difference in my neighborhood
Oh man, you're SO right. It's one of those things you just don't get until you NEED it. That's a powerful lesson right there.

inPro tip: I had to choose between a new torque multiplier or a rebuilt one for a stubborn axle nut
Bought a set of no-name sockets from a flea market back in 2015, figured how bad could they be. First time I tried to break a rusted lug nut on my old Ford the damn thing twisted right off. Not the nut, the socket. The metal just gave up like butter. Ever since then I stick to the mid range stuff, not the top shelf but definitely not the bottom. My neighbor swears by his Snap-on set but I can't stomach those prices. Sunex sounds about right, I got a similar brand from a local tool place and it's held up fine even with my heavy handed impact gun.

inMy display calibration file got corrupted mid-project yesterday and I spent 2 hours redoing it before realizing my tablet wasn't even synced
My Adobe crashed mid-save once and wiped my custom swatch library with 47 colors I'd matched to a client's physical brochure. Now I export swatches as a .ASE file to Dropbox every time I add more than 5 colors.
