I used to think the whole 'watch order' debate for Fate/Stay Night was pointless internet noise

I always just watched whatever was new, but a friend in Seattle made me sit down and follow the 'Unlimited Blade Works -> Heaven's Feel movies -> Zero' order he swore by. After finishing the third movie, the whole story clicked in a way it never had before. Has anyone else had a watch order completely change their view on a series?
