Just realized filler episodes are the real worldbuilding goldmine

I was reading a forum thread about how Naruto's filler arcs get skipped, but one poster pointed out that those episodes show daily life in Hidden Leaf that the manga never touches. So I went back and watched the curry of life arc from 2005 and now I actually get why the village feels like a community. Anyone else find good stuff in episodes everyone tells you to skip?
