Changed my mind about those cheaper capacitor testers after a job in Red Deer
I always thought the $20 capacitor testers were just junk, but a buddy in the shop handed me his and said 'try it for a week.' After checking 8 capacitors on a single call last Tuesday and getting consistent readings, I bought one the next day. Has anyone else had good luck with the cheaper multimeter add-ons?

Blew a fuse in my own cheap tester trying to check a cap once, so I'm glad yours worked out better than my first attempt.

Huh, I was the same way honestly. Always figured the cheap ones would give you wonky numbers at the worst possible time, so I stuck with my name-brand meter. After seeing how consistent those budget add-ons can be on a busy day, I'm rethinking my whole tool buying strategy.
