Garden trouble flipped my take on asking for help online

I always thought posting questions on forums was pointless since I could just google things. That changed last month when my herbs kept dying despite all my efforts. I gave in and asked here, expecting maybe one vague reply. Instead, I got detailed notes from gardeners across different climates, with photos and easy fixes. It made me think back to early web forums where answers took days and were hit or miss. Now, these spaces feel alive with folks eager to chip in what they know. I see how asking anything can turn a solo struggle into a team win. My herb box is green again, and I'm not afraid to post anymore.

For every helpful thread, I find ten dead ends on gardening sites.

Honestly my buddy Dave tried to grow tomatoes last year based on forum tips. He read so many old threads that said opposite things, one said water tons, another said hardly any. Ended up with these sad, drowned plants that also somehow had no fruit. Felt bad for him, he wasted a whole season just chasing bad info.
