Heard a guy at the library say 'just Google it' to a kid asking about the moon.
It hit me how often we skip real questions now. The kid wanted a talk, not a link. What's a good way to answer when someone asks you something simple?

Read an article once about how "just Google it" kills curiosity. The writer said it's like handing someone a map instead of walking with them. If a kid asks about the moon, you could point out the window and talk about how it looks tonight. Ask them what they think it's made of first. Turns a quick answer into a real chat.

Interesting point @kevin_wells46, but sometimes a quick fact check from a search can actually spark a much deeper talk.

Exactly this. I tried the "let's look it up" thing with my nephew once and he just stared waiting for the answer. Now I ask him what he thinks first. Way more fun. @kevin_wells46 got it right, it's about the walking not the map.
