Finally stacked the Moon shots after 4 nights of blurry mess

Kept fighting focus drift with my cheap tripod, then realized the dew heater was messing with the temperature and everything wobbled. Took me 12 hours across 4 nights to figure that out... has anyone else dealt with invisible issues like that in their setup?

i mean, 12 hours across 4 nights just to figure out a dew heater? that sounds like a lot of trial and error for something that basically just warms a lens. idk, maybe it's just me but i feel like a quick temp check with a thermometer or even just touching the gear would've caught that sooner. and honestly, the cheap tripod wobble, that's kind of expected, you get what you pay for. but is it really an "invisible issue" or just you not checking the basics first? i've had nights where i blamed everything but the sky, and then it turned out the moon was just too low and the air was thick. not saying it's not frustrating, but 12 hours seems like a lot for something you could've debugged in one good session. maybe the real problem was the weather or your patience, not the gadget.
