Customer watched me sand for 20 minutes then asked why I don't use a machine

Had a guy in Green Bay stand over my shoulder while I was doing a feather edge on his Civic. He kept saying 'you know they make electric ones, right' like I'd never seen a DA sander. I told him the spot was too tight for a machine and he replied 'my nephew does this in his garage with a drill'. I handed him the sanding block and said have at it. He lasted about 90 seconds before he put it back down. Anyone else get armchair experts who've never actually turned a tool?

You ever seen someone get handed a wrench and suddenly forget how cars work? My buddy runs a body shop up in Appleton and had this lady insist he was ripping her off for charging labor on a door dent. She grabbed the paint pen off his bench and said she'd do it herself. Came back two days later with a smeared blob and asked if he could fix it for free. He said sure, then sent her a bill for double.
