inSix months of microcurrent before and after - my left brow lifted 3mm more than my right
Whoa, "3mm difference is a pretty big gap" really jumped out at me. That's wild to think that tiny little device could be causing that much of an imbalance in someone's face. Did you actually see the before and after pics yourself, or is that just from the post?

inTIL I chose a cheap telescope over a decent pair of binoculars and regretted it instantly
My 130mm f/5 reflector on a Dobsonian mount was only $250 new and it pulls in way more light than any $300 zoom scope I've seen. At that price point you're usually stuck with a 70mm or 80mm aperture on a cheap tripod that shakes if you sneeze. I can see Jupiter's bands clearly on a decent night and the Orion Nebula is actually a fuzzy cloud instead of just a faint smudge. The zoom factor on those cheap scopes is usually just digital cropping anyway so you lose detail fast. You're way better off getting a bigger mirror and learning to find things manually with a red dot finder.

inDowntown parking garage slab in Portland has me rethinking heavy broom finishes
Tried something similar on my folks’ driveway back in Ohio a few years ago. Ended up looking like a giant washboard after one winter of salt. My brother said it resembled a Braille map of the neighborhood. Live and learn, I guess - light broom or medium tine has held up way better on my own jobs since. The heavy stuff just traps moisture and salt in those deep grooves, in my experience. Maybe it works in warmer climates but for snow belt areas, it’s a gamble.

inMy pannier rack snapped halfway through my commute last Tuesday
Man, that's rough. I actually had the opposite problem once - my rack was too heavy and it messed up my bike's balance. @ben827 is right about steel racks, but I'd also tell people to check their frame's mounting points. Some bikes have thin eyelets that can crack under load even with a good rack. I saw a guy's touring bike snap right at the dropout because the rack was fine but the frame wasn't.

inJust ran the math on my stretch rate and it blew my mind
Yeah 12% here. Felt like I was reading a different language.
