Just realized how much my paint jobs changed after I ditched cheap clear coat

I been doing body work for about 8 years now, mostly out of my garage in Phoenix. Last year I was using this budget clear coat from a local auto parts store, about $35 a gallon. My finishes looked okay at first but after 6 months they started yellowing and peeling on customer cars. I finally switched to a mid-tier Sherwin-Williams clear at $85 a gallon and the difference is night and day. The gloss holds way longer and I dont get complaints about orange peel anymore. It cost me a few pissed off customers before I wised up though. Has anyone else had luck with a specific brand for clear that doesnt break the bank?

@paul_mason12 I always spray that stuff on and then immediately regret it when I realize my car still looks like a bucket of bolts but at least the clear coat is shiny. That Summit stuff is legit though, @grant.jade nailed it.
