Noticed more shops switching to waterborne paint over the last year in my area

Ran into a guy I know from a collision shop in Tampa last week who said they made the switch six months ago and now their clear coat adhesion is way better, has anyone else noticed a difference after making the change?

Nah, I haven't seen that at all. Pretty much every shop I know that switched said it was more for environmental regs than any real quality bump.

Well, I have to say I see it a bit differently. I notice a real difference in the way my old towels feel compared to newer ones from stores that made the switch. The fabrics just seem stiffer and less soft after a few washes, almost like they never break in properly. Maybe it depends on the store or the type of material, but for me it's not just about regulations.
