Customer argued about a $90 brake job, then came back 2 days later

Back in March this guy rolls in with a 2010 Civic, pads are metal on metal. Quote him $90 for pads and labor, he says his cousin can do it cheaper for $40. I told him go ahead, but showed him the rotor scoring first. Two days later he's back, dragging the caliper because the piston seized. That $40 fix turned into a $260 rotor, caliper, and pad job. Has anyone else had a cheapskate customer come crawling back after their budget fix blew up?

Wait, he actually thought a $40 brake job was gonna work on a car with rotors that scored? That piston was probably already shot when he pulled in the first time and his cousin just slapped pads on top of a messed up caliper. Metal on metal means the rotor is getting chewed up, and no $40 job is fixing that. Dude saved himself 50 bucks and ended up paying almost three times what you quoted him. The cousin must have just pushed that piston back in with a c clamp and called it a day, which is exactly how you get a seized caliper two days later.
