Finally compared open vs enclosed transport for my classic Mustang

I shipped my 67 Mustang from Austin to Denver last month and went back and forth between open and enclosed carriers for like two weeks. Ended up picking open transport because my buddy said he used it three times with no issues. Well I saved $400 but my car showed up with a rock chip on the hood and dirt all over the paint that took me hours to buff out. My neighbor used enclosed for his Corvette from the same route and his car arrived spotless with zero damage. Now I'm kicking myself for cheaping out. Has anyone else regretted going with open transport just to save a few hundred bucks?
