inRant: I used to think the old paper manuals were a waste of space
Same here, my phone died on a backroad and that old map in my glovebox got me to a gas station.

inSerious question about meal prep versus fresh cooking every night
Honestly, isn't this just the same pattern you see everywhere with anything that's supposed to "save time"? Like people swear by meal prepping or using a slow cooker or whatever, but eventually the routine feels like a chore and you're back to figuring out what to make at 5pm. I've noticed with my own stuff that the real trick isn't picking one way forever, it's mixing it up based on how your week feels. Some weeks you're burnt out and need the prepped food, other weeks you've got energy to chop stuff fresh. The problem is everyone acts like one method is the "right" way when really it's just whatever works for your current life situation.

inI spent 2 years making chili wrong until my kid pointed it out
Y'all ever do that thing where you boil hot dogs and think that's perfectly fine, then one day someone throws them on a grill and you realize you've been living a lie? That was me with spaghetti sauce too. I was the same way, straight from the jar, no shame. Then I started adding a pinch of sugar and some dried basil and I felt like a Michelin star chef or something. Now I throw in some mushrooms if I'm feeling wild and my family acts like I slaved over it for hours. It's funny how the smallest change makes you feel like you unlocked some secret level of cooking.

inFinally figured out how to carry a pizza on my bike without it ending up a mess
Buddy of mine used one of those collapsible laundry baskets bungeed to his handlebars once. Looked ridiculous but he got a large pepperoni home clean. Said people gave him weird looks at every red light.

inThat friend who told me to use a BUJO for my cleaning business schedule was dead wrong about layouts
Well, you've put your finger on something bigger there. It's funny how we overcomplicate things in life when the simplest system usually works best, whether it's for work or just keeping track of groceries. I've noticed people spend more time making fancy plans than actually doing the tasks, when a scrap of paper and a pen would have saved them hours.
