Am I the only one who thinks avionics got way more solid state between 2015 and 2020?

I swear going through old B737 NG harnesses from 2012 felt like half the pins were tied to some relay or electromechanical box, but now on the MAX most of that stuff is just circuit cards and fancy microcontrollers, and I'm wondering if that switch made troubleshooting faster or if we just traded bad solder joints for bad software bugs, what do you all think?

Ha, at least with bad solder joints I knew what I was doing wrong.

Pick up a flux pen, it makes finding bridge faults way easier than chasing ghosts.
