Appreciation post: the day I figured out why my connector pins kept backing out of the plug
For about 8 months I was using plain old needle nose pliers to push pins into a cannon plug on a King Air, and about every third one would sit proud and I'd have to dig it back out. Then a guy named Darryl from the hangar next door watched me for 10 seconds and handed me his actual insertion tool, said "that's what the little shoulder is for, buddy," and every pin clicked in first try. How long did you folks go before somebody showed you the right tool for a job you thought you already knew?
