DAE spend 6 hours chasing a bad ground on a King Air only to find it in the cannon plug
Swore it was the LRU so I pulled and swapped twice before my lead walked over and wiggled the connector at the wing root. Took him 30 seconds to find what ate my whole shift, has anyone else been humbled by a cannon plug like that?
Been there more times than I care to admit. First thing I do now on any intermittent is pull and reseat every cannon plug in the circuit before I even think about touching a box, saves hours of swapping parts for nothing. Get yourself a good pin kit and actually check tension on the pins too, half the time the plug looks fine but one socket is spread and losing contact under vibration. Also hit the pins with a little contact cleaner and look for the green stuff, corrosion hides where you can't see it. Your lead knew because he's been burned the same way, it's basically a rite of passage on these airframes.
