I finally had that talk with a pilot who kept questioning every reading I gave him
There's this one commercial pilot out of Phoenix who always double checks every single reading I give him on the satcom system. Last month he pulled me aside after a preflight and said 'I just don't trust the numbers you guys hand me because one time in 2019 a bad cable messed up my approach.' He told me about a near miss over Denver because a connector was loose. Idk, part of me gets it because lives are on the line, but another part of me thinks if we're doing our job right the numbers are solid. Has anyone else dealt with a pilot who made you question your own work just by how they looked at you?

Read somewhere that some pilots are like that because they've had one bad experience and it just sticks with them forever. I get it, one bad cable nearly caused a crash, but dude its been years. Sounds like hes letting that one thing mess with how he sees every reading now.
