PSA: The old wiring diagrams for that regional jet are still in the hangar office at the airport in Spokane.

Last week I was there helping a buddy with a comms issue, and we found the whole set of original schematics from 2003 in a filing cabinet. It saved us about four hours of digging through the digital system. Anyone else still run into these old paper backups in weird places?

Know exactly what you mean. Found a binder of paper maintenance logs for a whole fleet of old crop dusters in a storage locker last year. Those old paper trails can be a total lifesaver when the digital stuff is a mess or just missing. It feels like finding buried treasure.

Buried treasure is a bit much, it's just old paper. How often does the digital system actually fail that badly? Seems like a rare win, not a common problem.
