Spent a whole afternoon waiting on a single avionics box to finish its self-test. Clock watching became a new skill.

Keep a small notepad and pen in your kit bag. I started doing crosswords or simple magazine puzzles during those tests. It gives your brain a little task and makes the wait feel more bearable than just staring at the clock.

Actually, that sounds like torture to me. Ngl, I've tried the puzzle thing before and it just makes my brain hurt more when I'm already stressed. Staring at the clock is awful, but so is forcing myself to solve some random word jumble. Honestly, I'd rather just sit there and zone out completely. It feels way less like a chore.
