Found a hidden trail near Glacier that the guidebooks skip over

I hiked up to Grinnell Lake last month and stumbled onto a use path heading east along the ridge - no signs, no cairns, just wildflowers and a view of the whole valley. Has anyone else found an off-map route that was WAY better than the main trail?
