I gave up on my squirrel baffle for a whole month

I bought a dome baffle for my pole feeder, but the squirrels in my yard kept jumping over it from the fence. I spent maybe 3 hours total trying to move the pole and adjust the height, thinking it was my fault. Finally, I moved the whole feeder setup 8 feet away from the fence line, and it's been squirrel-free for a week now. Has anyone else had to move their feeder way farther than they thought to stop the jumpers?

Totally get that! Squirrels are basically tiny ninjas. I had the same exact problem with my baffle. They were launching off my deck railing like it was a springboard. Moving the feeder a few feet did nothing. Ended up having to put it a solid ten feet out into the yard, right in the open. It felt like overkill, but it finally worked. Sometimes you just have to make the jump look impossible for them.
