My car battery died at 7am in a Target parking lot... then a lady saved my day

I was stuck with jumper cables I didn't even know how to use and it was pouring rain in Portland. This older woman came over, popped her hood, and had me running in under 3 minutes with zero condescension. Has anyone else had a total stranger bail them out of a morning disaster like that?

Jumper cables are one of those things people buy because they're supposed to, not because they know how to use them lol. My dad got me a set when I first started driving and I just threw them in the trunk. First time my battery died I had to call my buddy because I had no clue which clamp went where or what order to do it in. Once you've done it once it's pretty straightforward, but there's definitely a learning curve. Next time just watch a quick YouTube video and you'll be set.
