Critic said my bad movie pick was too boring, changed how I choose now

Last month a guy on this forum told me my pick for movie night, some random 80s slasher, was 'more dull than bad.' He was right, it just dragged. So I started looking for movies with weird directorial choices or insane plot twists instead of just low budgets. Now I go for stuff like The Room or Birdemic where the ambition fails hard. Has anyone else changed how they pick based on a comment?

Nah, boring is way worse than bad. At least bad keeps you awake.
