Hated Birdemic for years, then a live viewing flipped me
Saw it with a packed room at a dive bar in Portland last month and the crowd's heckling turned the garbage into pure gold. Now I actually seek out films with zero plot just to see what the group will riff on. Anyone else convert after a group screening?

Wait, so you're telling me the movie itself was trash and the only reason you liked it was because strangers were yelling over it? That's not a conversion, that's just admitting you had a good time at a bar and giving the movie credit for something it had zero part in. The whole point of a film is the film itself, not the crowd noise around it, and if you need a packed room to make a movie watchable, then the movie is still garbage, you just found a way to ignore it. Honestly, seeking out more plotless movies just to have people riff on them feels like giving up on movies entirely and turning them into a stand-up comedy prop, which is fine if that's your thing, but don't pretend you suddenly appreciate bad cinema. You're not a film fan, you're a heckler with a movie ticket, and that's a totally different hobby, lol.
