My first perfect macaron batch after 4 straight failures
I spent all Sunday trying to nail macarons for the first time (I'm talking 6am to 6pm in the kitchen). The fourth batch actually came out with feet and no hollow shells, and I almost cried when I saw them. Anyone else have a recipe that took way more tries than you expected?

and did you actually change anything between the third and fourth batches or was it just luck? I've seen people say they just kept the same recipe and it eventually worked but that sounds like a waste of ingredients to me. Like if your oven temp was off or your folding was inconsistent you'd think you'd need to actually fix that first. What do you think was the biggest issue across those first few tries?

Man, 4 failures is ROUGH. Mad respect for sticking with it through all that. That first perfect batch must have felt SO good.
