Hit 500 straight razor shaves without a single nick
I hit my 500th straight razor shave last Friday and honestly I didn't think I'd make it that far. Started learning 18 months ago at my shop in Denver after an old barber challenged me to try it. First 20 shaves were rough, lots of tiny cuts and irritated skin. But I stuck with it and now I offer it as a regular service. Has anyone else set a personal milestone like this and tracked it?

Track it on a dry erase board on my bathroom mirror actually. Writing down the count every morning feels a little silly but it keeps me honest. I get how crazy that sounds. 500 shaves without a single nick is a hell of an achievement though. I've been wet shaving for years and still manage to slice myself at least a few times a year when I get lazy or rush through a pass.
