Just realized I was holding my clippers wrong for fading

After fighting with inconsistent blends for 6 months on my own head in my bathroom in Chicago, I tried rotating my wrist instead of my whole arm like a barber on YouTube showed and now my tapers actually look clean - has anyone else had a lightbulb moment with a simple grip change?

Rotating my wrist instead of my whole arm" - that's interesting, I've been holding mine the same way for 20 years and never thought to change it. Did you find it helped with the tricky area around the occipital bone where the head curves, or was it more about smoothing out the transition on the sides?

Honestly, I was in the same boat for like 15 years, just moving my whole arm around like a robot. Then I tried the wrist rotation thing on a buddy who has a really steep curve right at the occipital bone, and it made a huge difference. That spot where the head curves under, the wrist flick lets you get a much softer, more consistent line without fighting your own arm angle. Completely changed my mind on it, it's way smoother for the side transitions too.

Man, I used to think wrist rotation was overhyped YouTube barber nonsense until I tried it on my own stubborn crown area. That little flick changed everything for me too, suddenly the line actually softened up instead of looking like a hard shelf.
