Rant: Barber school taught me nothing about curly hair textures

Been cutting for 5 years in Austin and just now realized I was treating 4C hair like 2B hair the whole time. Watched a video from a stylist in Atlanta and my jaw dropped, the angle and tension changes are completely different. Anyone else feel like their training skipped half the real work?

Damn, that hit home hard. Honestly my schooling was all straight hair and basic fades, I learned more from one YouTube video than my whole barber program. Tbh I'm still embarrassed thinking about how many clients I probably messed up before I figured out the curl pattern thing.
