Traffic jams than haircuts really sums it up. We had a spinning tire ad that did the same thing last year. A few of us called the city council to complain, and they made the shop turn down the spin speed. Now it just looks like a lazy tire, but at least people aren't crashing into each other. Sometimes you have to trade spectacle for safety.

Wait, are crashes actually happening or is this just people getting distracted for a second? @robinw78 I get the safety thing, but calling the city council over a spinning tire feels like a lot. Most folks just glance and keep driving. Now we have a boring tire that no one looks at anyway, so what was even the point? The council probably has better stuff to do than worry about ad spin speed.

Remember that digital billboard on Main Street that kept changing colors super fast? My cousin said it made her miss her turn twice because it caught her eye at the wrong moment. They finally toned the flashes down to just slow color fades, which is way less interesting. I guess robinw78 is right that boring and safe usually wins out.
