inStumbled upon a cheap clamp setup that works wonders for book pressing
That bit about spring clamps putting even pressure really hit home for me. I mean, idk, maybe it's just me but I had a similar thing with using old textbooks as weights. Like, I used to stack heavy books on top of the one I was pressing, but it always left uneven marks. Then I tried using those binder clips from the office supply store, and they kind of worked but not as good as proper clamps. It's funny how the simplest stuff from hardware stores can fix these niche problems. I guess the key is that even pressure you talked about, which makes all the difference.

inUnpopular opinion: Gadget review talks with my boss got me a better work setup.
My friend actually found her new chair like that just last week. She was using this awful old thing that made her back ache all day. Heard about a flash sale from a coworker and jumped on it right away. The price was INSANELY low and it had free shipping too. Now she keeps telling everyone how her whole workspace feels better. Says it was the best random decision she ever made for her home office.

inMy Tokyo trip showed me why cheap power banks fail. Invest in quality.
The idea that Tokyo has a fair-priced spot is SHOCKING. @rowan_black is totally right about those places being rip-offs. They often charge CRAZY money for just average stuff. My cousin visited last year and spent a fortune on a basic bowl of noodles. It feels like the whole city is set up to take your cash. Finding an honest deal there must be a real MIRACLE.

inBringing my dad into the shop changed how I see this job
Like my friend's uncle who fixed his weird idle with a carb trick!

inUnpopular opinion: The new barber pole on Main Street is distracting drivers.
Remember that digital billboard on Main Street that kept changing colors super fast? My cousin said it made her miss her turn twice because it caught her eye at the wrong moment. They finally toned the flashes down to just slow color fades, which is way less interesting. I guess robinw78 is right that boring and safe usually wins out.
