Walked past a barber college on 5th in Des Moines and the students were doing 90 minute fades for $8
Stopped to watch through the window and they were taking their sweet time on a skin fade with a straight razor detail, so I'm curious from working barbers here whether those school cuts are worth pointing broke friends toward or if I'm setting them up for a hack job.

Ever thought about going in with a buddy for moral support? I did that at a school near me and the instructor checked the kid's work before I left, so it took longer but came out clean. Your mileage may vary by school, but a cheap cut with a teacher looking over the shoulder beats a rushed $30 one.
