Just realized you can book a flight to Mexico City for under $200 round trip from Texas

I was messing around on Google Flights looking at random dates and saw a deal from Houston for $178. It's a basic economy seat on a Tuesday in October, but still. I always thought international flights were way more expensive. Has anyone else snagged a crazy cheap flight to a cool place by being flexible with dates?

Thinking back on how long it took to build up a French polish.

Back when I was learning, we'd spend weeks on a single piece just for the finish. Everything was slower, from mixing the polish to waiting between coats, but the results were worth it. Do you think modern shortcuts sacrifice that depth of character?

Got a surprise visit from the EPA about our waste storage

At my shop, they said our used paint filters were stored wrong, which can leak chemicals into the soil. It's an easy mistake, but now we have to use sealed bins for all waste. Check your storage areas to avoid big fines and help keep things clean. Also, keep good records of how you throw stuff out.

My mess of spare parts finally got organized last week.

I used to just toss all tiny screws and springs into one jar after repairs. After losing a crucial screw for an hour, I sorted them by camera model, and now jobs take half the time. How do you guys keep track of all the small bits?
