Dollar store picture frames changed my whole framing game
I used to buy those $15 frames at Michaels for every thrift store poster I found. Last month someone in the comments said I was wasting money when the dollar store frames are exactly the same glass and just need a quick spray paint. I tried it on a vintage map I got for $2 and honestly the black frame looked way better than anything I paid full price for. Now I only hit the dollar store first and keep the spray paint in the garage. Anyone else repaint cheap frames or am I late to this?

One thing to keep in mind is that not all dollar store frames have real glass, a lot of them switched to that thin plastic sheet that scratches if you look at it wrong. The frame itself takes paint fine, but you may want to check before buying a stack of them for anything you care about. Still a solid trick for cheap prints though.
