Hot take: that $3 mystery bag from the Goodwill bins is either treasure or trash and there's no in between
My buddy Dave grabbed a $3 mystery bag at the bins in Columbus last week and pulled out a working 1970s Polaroid camera, but mine from the same trip was just three mismatched Tupperware lids and a dead AA battery. So which is it, are mystery bags worth the gamble or are we all just paying to dig through someone else's junk? Tell me your best and worst mystery bag pulls.
Did Dave really have to flex on you like that with the Polaroid find? Man, I feel your pain because my pulls have been way more like yours. Last month I got a bag that had one flip flop, a phone charger for a phone that came out in 2007, and what I'm pretty sure was a petrified orange. It stings even more when your buddy hits gold on the same trip, like the bins are just messing with you on purpose. But honestly, that dead battery and those Tupperware lids are the real face of the mystery bag game, the wins are rare and the junk is forever. I keep telling myself I'm done with them and then I see that bin and somehow I'm three bucks poorer again.
