Rant: That $8 universal charger strip fried my old clock radio
Snagged a no-name charger strip at a dollar store in Tulsa last month, and it worked fine for two weeks until the clock radio plugged into it started smoking. I got zapped twice just unplugging it, and the radio is toast, so I basically paid $8 to lose a $15 thrift find. Anyone else gamble on cheap power gear and regret it, or did I just get a lemon?

Idk, I remember reading some article a while back about how those cheap strips skip a bunch of safety parts to save money. It's basically a dice roll every time you plug something in, sounds like you hit the bad luck side.
