Hot take: charcoal chimney is way faster than lighter fluid for starting a fire
I always used lighter fluid because that's what my dad did. Took me 20 minutes just to get coals ready last Saturday. Tried a $15 chimney instead and had white hot coals in 10 minutes flat. Has anyone else made the switch and never looked back?

Lighter fluid works fine if you know what you're doing. Been using it for 15 years and my coals are ready in 12 minutes tops. Chimneys are just another gadget to buy and store. Plus you gotta have newspaper handy which is a pain if you're grilling at a park or tailgate. Lighter fluid is one bottle, grab and go. And don't even get me started on the chimney getting rusted out after a few months of sitting outside.
