Got a flat tire in the rain at 7th and Main last Tuesday
It was pouring and I was already late for a 9 AM meeting. I pulled over under a bus shelter and realized my patch kit was still on my desk at home. Sat there for 20 minutes waiting for a coworker to come get me. Now I keep a spare tube and a mini pump strapped under my seat. Has anyone else had a surprise flat ruin their whole morning?

Pull that same move with any small problem and you'll realize how often we assume things will just work out without a backup plan. A flat tire in the rain is just the universe's way of reminding you that convenience is a luxury, not a guarantee. Most of my worst mornings started with one small thing I could've prepped for, but didn't.

@andrew_jackson Are you saying the real failure isn't the thing going wrong but the assumption it wouldn't? Because that's hitting a little too close to home for me right now. I keep replaying my last few mornings and realizing how much I just expected everything to go smoothly.
