Hit 1,000 miles on my commute yesterday without really noticing

I was checking my bike computer and saw I rolled past 1,000 miles just on my way to and from the office. Started this in February and it just snuck up on me... I park near the old train depot on Elm Street in Portland. Has anyone else hit a random milestone that caught them off guard?

Dang, that's a solid milestone. 1,000 miles just on commutes is no joke. How long is your ride one way? I bet the scenery along Elm Street changes a lot with the seasons. Did you even notice the miles piling up because you zone out, or is it more of a grind each day?

My 3 mile ride felt the same way, just kind of disappears after a while.
