I spent two weeks trying to fix a weird clicking noise on my ride
It was this faint click with every pedal stroke that started after a rainy week. I checked the chain, pedals, and crank arms, greasing everything I could think of. I even took the whole bottom bracket apart and put it back together. The fix ended up being the rear quick release skewer; it wasn't tight enough and was shifting slightly. Has anyone else had a simple fix for a noise that drove them nuts?

Oh man, that's a classic! I had a creak I swore was the seatpost for a solid month. Turned out to be the front wheel axle needed just a tiny bit more grease on the threads (the kind you'd never think to check). It's wild how sound travels through the whole frame and points you in the wrong direction.

Totally feel that, sound in a bike frame is such a liar. What works for me now is just going through every bolt with a torque wrench in order, starting from the stem and working back. It's boring but you find the loose one fast (usually something dumb like a bottle cage).
