Binged 5 seasons of a show before realizing I skipped episode 2

I was hooked on this crime drama. Binge watched all 5 seasons in 2 weeks. Kept feeling like I was missing something. Characters kept referencing a past event I never saw. Finally checked and yep, episode 2 of season 1 was auto-skipped. Anyone else had a streaming service skip a random episode on them?

Used to think people just weren't paying attention when they complained about missing episodes. Then my wife put on a show I'd been watching with her and I realized a whole episode I never saw explained why a character had a black eye for two seasons. Felt pretty dumb. Now I always double check the episode list before I start a new season.
