Am I the only one who carried a pocket knife wrong for 20 years?
I was at a knife swap in Phoenix last month and this old timer just looked at me and said 'son, you're closing that blade backwards.' I had been pressing the spine with my thumb to close it, fighting the spring the whole time. He showed me to pinch the blade and roll it shut with my wrist and it clicked instantly. Has anyone else had a basic knife habit that made you feel dumb when you finally got shown the right way?

Man that pinch and roll trick was a game changer for me too, I felt like an idiot after 15 years of fighting my thumb every time I closed a knife. A buddy at work showed me the same thing with my old Benchmade and I actually apologized to it for being so rough with it all those years lol. Now I try to pass that tip along whenever I see someone struggling with a spring assist or liner lock.

Honestly learned that trick like two years ago and felt the same way.
