Best Saturday I've had in 2 years at the Portland meetup

Stumbled into a local knife swap in Portland last weekend, brought my old 1980s Herringbone blazer thinking I'd trade it for a beater blade. Walked out with a hand-forged S35VN piece and a 1960s tweed jacket, both from the same guy who apparently restores vintage tailoring on the side. Anyone else find that their best gear days happen when they least plan for them?

Swapped a rusted buck knife for a cracked leather satchel at a flea market last fall, ended up using it to carry groceries for six months straight. Funny how the worst trades sometimes become your everyday favorites.
