My edge angle gauge taught me I've been sharpening wrong for 8 years
Last month I pulled out a $30 angle guide to fix a wobbly edge on my old Case and found out my freehand sharpening was sitting at 12 degrees instead of the 20 I thought. The guide showed every knife I've done for 8 years has been way too shallow, which explains why they dulled so fast on cardboard. Anyone else had that rude wake-up call from a simple tool that made them redo their whole setup?

Did you catch that nerf video where the guy tested 10 different angles on the same steel and showed how much edge life you lose past 15 degrees? That thing made me question everything too, even my $80 sharpener setup.
